Apologies, I missed your message in the flurry. Sounds like contenteditable is not working. This feature requires a 'modern' browser. But I am not sure exactly what the definition of that it.
What version (dates) of FF and Konqueror are you running? Is Konqueror still being developed and maintained? It is possible it is just too out of date.
