I reinstalled J and updated JAL and the error was corrected.

I like the new primary menu placement and arrow navigation.  I wasn't so happy 
about how selecting any menu entry scrolled the log to the first line and left 
you there if no menu option was selected.

ESC worked for me for everything but ESC-F, in both Firefox 3.6.10 and IE 8.

Double clicking "../" on the jfile screen in Firefox gives the following error:

No file selected to edit.

and a alert window called "The page at http://127.0.0.1:65001 says:"

ajax request failed - see jijx

The jijx shows this:

*** getdata error: |socket error: serror
|   'socket error'    13!:8[3
