Having different names for the various windows in different IDEs will make it
difficult to explain and confusing to understand instructions about how to "do
stuff" in the IDEs:
Current terminology describing windows in various IDEs:
Jwd: ijx window
Gtk: Term window
JHS: ijx or jijx window
Jwd: ijs window
Gtk: Edit window (or Tab in Edit window)
JHS: ijs or jijs window
I think they should ideally all be the same, although given that ijx and ijs
are perhaps a little cryptic for new users IMO, there is perhaps a case for
change in J7. However if they are going to change for J7 then they should at
least be consistent across J7 IDEs.
