I'm just trying to think of someone new to J. For them IJX & IJS don't convey any meaning of what each window for, and for the Gtk IDE anyway, there are no IJX files involved anymore. My suggestions: Gtk IDE Term --> J Session Edit --> J Editor (jEdit is already taken!) JHS IDE jijx --> (url) jsession (page title)J Session jijs --> (url) jeditor (page title) -leave as script name > To that point though, if we normalize terminology, it should be reflected in > the frontends. In particular, I find the use of the window title "term" in > GTK IDE confusing. It also makes ambiguity more likely, because jconsole, > which is also still visible with GTK IDE, is a terminal (and, on Linux or > Mac, might even be called "term"). Agreed! > For GTK IDE's editor specifically, I think "the script editor" is fine, > because it can contain multiple IJS tabs. Though individually those are > still IJSes :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
