Indeed.  I did a clean install today, and I got the ascii box drawing
characters.

That said, I wonder if it will be possible to arrange for a hierarchy
of config files
(one master, for things that should be consistent across all front ends, and
one per front end).  But I would not want to hold up release for something like
this.  Maybe a later version of J might support that (with the current config
becoming the master config later on).

I do not see anything likely at http://jsoftware.com/beta.htm

Or are there instructions which show up when you run jhs?  (I have not
tried jhs yet, on this version.)
