Good to know jgtk works for you again. Could you also further test if jgtk can work independent of the other gimp package by renaming that Gimp folder or moving it to another location.
If jgtk can work too, could you please zip the entire ~install/gtk folder and upload to some places like rapidshare.com that I can get, or directly email to me if size is around 10MB.
