Hi Brian, If you had done a install'gtkide' or getgtkbin, it would fetch a gtk binary for macintel and override that already there on ~install/gtk.
In additional, the latest gtk script will only detect x-window gtk binary if there is no file for gtk quartz. Therefore if both libgtk-quartz-2.0.dylib libgtk-x11-2.0.dylib are present, it will use quartz instead of x11. You can try remove the folder ~install/gtk first, and then do a "cp -R" as what you had done last time, and check if files under ~install/gtk will look ok. For a fresh installation, use pacman manually install gtk and gtkide, and then execute your specific 'cp -R' to install the gtk binary. If it works again, never try install'gtkide' or getgtkbin in the future unless you have migrated to a macintel or getgtkbin support x11 gtk binary for ppc mac. The error messages is outdated and only intended as a general guideline.
