Hi Folks, after 2 days of testing the new nightly builds Jan 31 and Feb 1 in my SB3 with FW29 I came to the following conclusions:
1. SB will hang after a while (at latest at the end of the 1st song, then it'll stop with the spectrum having 'screenfreezed' the sound of about 6 sec before the end of the song), unresponsive to the RC except for some keys like left arrow. Pulling the cable will bring it back so the cause shouldn't be the server. 2. Confirmed this on an iBook, a Cube, 2 XP PCs and one W2003Server, and the result was the same. 3. Going back to FW 28 immediately resolved all issues. 4. Pressing 'Now playing' on the RC will sometimes immediately render SB unresponsive 5. When waking up SB will always have 'spectrum' enabled, no matter what your settings are. 6. The 1st time FW29 was installed the device was unable to connect on WPA, just WEP was possible. For some reason after many switches from 28 to 29 and back WPA is working now, nothing else in the WLAN setup of the other connected devices had been changed. 7. In the server display when SB crashed the progress bar of the song playing will be moving on and jump back on the next browser refresh. Before filing this as bugs I would like to check if I'm the only one. What I'd like to see is a link to download the last nighly build that didn't have FW29 for further testing.
