not always, but surely does result in a faster fix.
No specific conditions - just open my browser and point it at slimserver.
If it is already open when returning from hibernate or standby, then
the refresh could be lost (used to show up as a dead page, but now
doesn't show since the reload is in the background).
I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.4 on FC5. The default skin updates OK.
unfortunately irrelevant in this case, since Default is a forced page
reload at the refresh interval.
It's not working on straight-forward playing of tracks (flac files).

yup...the thing that's breaking it ;) I'd assume that you have very
good metadata, so I really wouldn't know what to suggest. Try looking
at the javascript console. Maybe something is happening there despite
usually being hidden. You'll have to weed through an annoying amount
of complaints about IE-specific css.
I might just end up reverting the whole thing, anyway. After all the
clamouring for ajax, it is amazing the amount of feedback that seems
to indicate that it is actually more reassuring to see the page redraw
every so often even though the same people will claim the refreses are
annoying. Considering what a pia it is to maintain, it seems hardly to
have been worth the effort (in hindsight).
