It's useful to work this way (it's what I do).  Different applications may 
decide to store music in different places.

For example, if you were to have multiple user logins under WinXP, and a WinXP 
user has stored music in "My Music", it is easy to add a shortcut to it to pull 
it into your slimserver music library, without copying music files around.

Another example is iTunes, for example downloading podcasts.  I don't think you 
can define a separate podcast folder.  You may have a large folder of iTunes 
music files, but only want podcasts to be pulled into the slimserver music 
folder.
