I'm anxious to go to 7.0 because I'd like to continue the work I started months ago enhancing some features on the Nokia770/Touch skins. I shied off of that work because 7.0 wasn't stable and 6.5 got released so I wasn't putting in new features there.
Sounds like I should remain in standby for at least the near-term. I read the wiki and the only change I see that might mean a change I'd have to make is the scan progress bar and perhaps SqueezeNetwork support. Does that sound right? Is this forum the best spot to keep track of 7.0 stability? I guess what I'm looking for is some kind of "alpha" level release to people like me that want early access to the code but don't necessarily want to have to experience serious instabilities (my WAF is very important to me ;) ). The original poster on this thread mentioned the pepper pad (http://pepperpad.com) as an aside. I've brought that device up several times in the general forum-- I know at least one forum participant has one, but I haven't heard much as to how it works. I think I'll post a new thread to the general forum to see if anyone is using one.
