I wonder if this is a similar problem that I am getting, I am a newbie to squeezebox and have a bit of an odd system.
My PC with a Realtek Wireless adpater and Asus Wifi Solo software acts as my AP. My SB3 can connect to the PC network, see Slimserver and Access the files, but after playback for 10-20 seconds I get a "Connection reset by remote host" error on the SB, if I press play again the track will start from the beginning. I also noticed that when I was searching for a particular FLAC file that the SB3 locked up for a second on so and would not respond to remote, it then carried on as if nothing had happened. It seems FLACs last even less than 10 seconds, so I think there is some problem with my SB3 keeping the connection to my PC stable over the wireless network. Is there any debuging I can do to see if there is any error generated by Slimserver anywhere? What is odd is if I play Internet Radio, it seems to be fine (maybe due to the lower bitrate?). Finally, when I did a Network Test I got 5000kbps 100% for longer than my 20 seconds, infact it was 100% for the whole time I sat watching, maybe 1 minute? Is there a way to get this to log so I could set it to go for a longer period and see if anything drops? Hmm, I know I said finally, but just thought. Is there some kind of "buffer" setting form MP3/FLAC etc anywhere in the SB3 that can be increased to see if that would fix it? Is there anyway to monitor the network trafic on the SB3 while the music is playing to see if there is a blip at the time the track stops? I am going to try hard wiring the SB3 later today when I get home and see if the error persists to rule out the wireless network.
