Just updated to r12741.
- My second, very general impression of this skin is that it feels a
lot clunkier than the old default. Probably due to a combination of
the mouseover effects and the minimalism, with less information on
the screen and a lot of dead space.
- I'm no longer seeing the "first-track-no-status-info" problem.
- I like the song timer and album cover displayed in the status pane.
It would be nice to see a reworking of the old Default skin's status
pane to something similar.
The bitrate display, though, is of little value for lossless
playback. How about just displaying it for lossy tracks?
- Why not display _more_ track information in the undocked status
window instead of the exact same thing? One thing that would be
helpful is the actual streaming format. How often have you read
posts where people can't tell which format is being used to stream a
particular type of music file?
- The mouseover highlighting in the browse pane is confusing. The
mouse icon becomes a pointer (hand) but the area isn't clickable.
Either make the whole thing clickable (maybe not desirable, since
there are clickable items within the area) or else leave the standard
mouse pointer.
- In that mouseover, album covers aren't clickable, as they are in
other skins. They should take you to the track listing level.
- (I think someone else mentioned this) In the mouseover, some of the
text goes from nonbold to bold (links). You can't really do this
without some ugly side effects. Since the bold text is larger, it
often causes shifting of all the text in the div.
