I would have said rather memory than CPU. But with your specs?... AJAX is  
said to be prone to memory leaks in browsers. Many methods which nowadays  
are used extensively haven't been used a lot in the past years, such as  
background updates. The browsers therefore are hardly field proven in this  
respect.

I mainly use FF while developping, but usually I leave MSIE6/7, Opera and  
Safari open all day long, sometimes several days (only suspending the  
machines). All of them seem to leak memory. I have to restart Opera & FF  
at least once a day.

Could you do a test for me? What happens, if you _reload_ the full page  
every hour or so?
