The new default looks like it's going in the right direction, but I really don't like the cover artwork against every track in the Player window. I know you can turn it off, but then you don't get any cover artwork in the Player window at all. The existing behaviour is fine for random iPod shuffle type use, but for people like me that tend to play one CD at a time, a column of repeated icons (it's too small to be called cover art really), looks silly and is a waste of screen space.
So maybe there could be an option to turn off the 'icons' and have a larger cover at the top with the now playing info, or some kind of intelligent behaviour where it recognised that you're playing 'a CD' and didn't repeat the artwork?
