Thanks for coming back. As it was the weekend and I had some time, I went ahead and did it anyway. No real issues. I had to simply copy the contents of the Plugins folder across to the new location to get most things back. The only real delays were that I had not done anything about trying to reuse my conf file, so had to re-do all of the player settings on formats, screensavers, etc, and Alien BBC took a bit of tweaking with mplayer.sh location and permissions.
I was back up to previous conditions within an hour I would say, and the immediate benefit was that the problem with cover art being scrambled and assigned to the wrong albums was gone and all was back as it should be.
