The new default logging level for all categories is 'Error'.  It's not
likely at those levels that you'll generate much of a log, even over a
long time period.  You can either stop SC and delete the log.conf file
to reset the levels to their defaults, or you can manually set them all
to the Error level.

I agree, though, that there's a need for a built-in log rotation
facility, particularly for Windows installs where it's not possible to
delete or rename the open log while SqueezeCenter is running.  It's not
hard to imagine someone changing the logging levels without realizing
the consequences and then being unable to figure out how their drive
filled up.
