When you perform a scan, it runs a separate scanner process, which writes to a 
separate log file.  So if the scanner isn't running, I believe you can 
delete/move/archive the scanner log file.

If the logging is set to debug, you will see each file that the scanner is 
looking at, and all tags it finds, etc.  Good for finding tagging issues, and 
essential for working out what file causes a scanner crash.

However, I set the logging level to info, so I can see what it's doing without 
lots of file access stuff, eg. shows scanner steps, start/stop times, etc.  
Doesn't add much to the size of the log.
