Probably the firmware update was just a coincidence and has nothing to do with it.
With the first batch of SB2s we produced, there was a problem where the headphone amplifier chip could act as a radio receiver, so the RF energy from the 802.11 would be picked up by the headphone cable and then made audible by the headphone amp. The solution to this is to add some small value caps (22pf) from each of the headphone signals to ground. This shunts the high frequency RF so it can not reenter the system. We can do this for you if you want to send it in. Otherwise the only workaround is to use ethernet, or try changing the orientation of the headphone cable. -- seanadams ------------------------------------------------------------------------ seanadams's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42384 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
