That's what I suspected, although I hadn't noticed it before.

I probably haven't noticed before because I usually use RCA outputs connected 
to the main HiFi, but this unit has recently moved to the bedroom whilst the 
SB3 is in for repair.

My wife did move the unit and speakers around slightly when she was dusting, 
just before I upgraded!  I'll try re-orienting the cables and equipment.
