I have exactly the same issues (to the letter) with my new (pre-production) Receiver as described above, but haven't spent enough time narrowing down the cause yet to properly contribute. I managed to get it to connect for a whole 10 minutes last night after a similar amount of time trying as the OP. After 10 minutes, it lost the connection to the music server.
In my case I have a sneaking suspicion this is IP related, since the SBR has taken the same IP as the beta unit I had (I had to use Autoassign to get it to connect to my network, the static IP function didn't appear to work), so I'm waiting for the next Jive firmware and will have a proper try again tonight with the logging on. My pre-production Duet is working perfectly however (although a bit of a hassle setting it up as the SBR kept losing the connection to it). Is there any other way to set the SBR back to default settings than Factory Reset? When I factory reset, it still seems to remember all my network settings.
