I've been having similar problems on-and-off. Sometimes even accessing
the web interface would not improve things.

The latest incident seems to have been resolved (can't be 100% certain
since I've been fiddling with so many things), by ensuring that the MAC
address of the player is set exactly as it appears on the sticker of the
SB. For some reason it seems to get corrupted from time-to-time.

Reset the device by holding down the power button on the remote, then
scroll to 'Current Settings' until you reach the MAC address (as
distinct from 'SqueezeCenter MAC Address' which is another setting).
Make sure it is set per the sticker.

I'm hoping this is all it has been as it's a massively frustrating
problem.
