I've spent some time with the Windows installer. As of revision 20631 (7.1+) there are a few enhancements:
- detect applications which are known to conflict with our port 9000 (see http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/FirewallAvAndOtherOffenders#Others_.28known_to_cause_SqueezeCenter_to_fail_in_some_way.29) - use alternative port in case of conflict - detect connection issues due to firewalls - optionally remove all preferences, logs etc. during uninstall Please give the new installer some thorough testing (installing and removing). Would be great if you could test on machines with potential issues (AV, firewall etc.) too. I'm very interested in any change you see: we'd rather have no message than false positives! I hope to have a build for download soon. Will let you know.
