If you don't want to burden regular users with so many options, maybe you can have a Recommended (default) and Advanced installation options. You also give those of us who barely know anything an opportunity to save some of these preferences. Having to install SC and all the plugins and them customizing the settings from scratch is a bit daunting. I guess it takes a bit over 1 minute to stop the process. My "dedicated" SC7.1 server runs on an old 900MHz laptop with Windows XP SP3 with an external 1TB WD My Book drive. Agree about the log... but not giving an advanced option to clear it forces me kill the SqueezeCenter.exe process or hope that the installation process pauses to retry before I can clear the log and save it. As I install the nightly betas every other day...
