I agree, a very bad answer. I think the support person you talked to spoke incorrectly. Using beta software should not void warranty on the product itself. Regardless, your question was only a hypothetical, as your controller does not need replacing. I've confirmed that the reboot problem is now fixed. r3348 has been built and is now going through automated tests for qualification.
