expect it to play in the order the songs are added (queue), not as a stack.

Are you saying that pause still works in party mode, so you can always toggle 
between play and pause?  I'd hope so.  Stop should also be available 
(pause.hold).  I never understood the resistance to having a stop button.

When the player is stopped, play should restart playback.  Why prevent it?

The only change should be to prevent play from being used to replace the 
playlist content - i.e. do the equivalent of add when browsing the music 
library.  Pressing play on the now playing screen should still work, IMO.

It could be debated whether browsing to another song in the now playing screen 
and pressing play should play that song, or only allow play to restart playback 
from where it had last been stopped (make it equivalent to unpauseing).

What about FWD/REW (next track/previous track skip), and track seeking - should 
they be disabled?
