(Thanks for relocating this btw. :-)) Just came across this bug: http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8593
Although there has clearly been much debate, I believe (if I'm reading correctly) that the current direction is to unsync the players before an alarm starts. I can't see any reason why this solution wouldn't work for me, but as there's been so much disagreement I just wanted to add a vote for NOT having all Boom players start together on an alarm. The logic here seems simple. Imagine a family where 2 or more members of the family have their own Boom in their bedrooms. In most cases the whole family won't want to be be awoken by one member's alarm! (Imagine the arguments at breakfast!) I can see some people wanting the option to do this, but I think the default has to be NOT to do it. In my case there's no family to consider, but I still don't want my second Boom blasting away in the kitchen to delight my neighbours. On a related note, they seem to be waking together in the latest 7.3 code. Does anyone know when a fix will hit the nightlies? Also I don't believe the sync'd players are observing the volume chosen for the alarm - they appear to start playing at the last volume set on that particular player. -- twynne ------------------------------------------------------------------------ twynne's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1326 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=56090 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
