It was solved by installing to another directory. I didn't find any registry settings or other things that would cause problems connected to the old directory. I deleted the directory, but still got the error after a fresh install. As a desperate final try, I installed to Squeezecenter2/ and it worked.
The funny thing is that if i install an older build like 2 weeks earlier it worked in the old directory. /Joggs joggs;399424 Wrote: > Cannot start squeezecenter windows edition for a week or so. > The tray only says starting service. > > I've tried to uninstall and install but with same result. > same results with betas for one or two weeks. > > running vista x64 and never had problems before. > > Tried starting squeezecenter.exe manually and got alot of the > following: > [09-02-22 17:38:59.2842] Slim::Web::HTTP::openport (233) Can't setup > the listeni > ng port 9000 for the HTTP server: Bad file descriptor > > and then it tries plenty of more ports with the same result and error > message. > > Should I see squeezecenter as a service?
