As just reported in the bug listed above, I have made some progress with
ESET and 7.4 v75453.  If I add exceptions for squeezecenter.exe,
scanner.exe and mysql.exe to ESET (not the normal port limited
exceptions), I still get error messages in the Windows event viewer
about perl failing, but SC will eventually start up after a while. 

Perhaps try adding these exceptions, do a full reboot and then leave it
running for a bit?
