Not to threadjack, but I also noticed that since updating to a nightly
build of 7.3.3 on my Netgear ReadyNAS Duo (just last weekend) that my
Squeezebox Boom no longer plays AAC (*.mp4 or *.m4a) files. I did some
googling and found how to correct this here:

http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=26302

With this workaround, my Boom now plays AAC files. Unfortunately, they
still have this annoying (and possibly dangerous) loud 'pop' or 'click'
at the beginning of each new AAC file. Apparently this is only a
problem that plagues SC users on the ReadyNAS.

Can anyone recommend a fix for this 'popping' problem now that I got
AAC files to play once again?

(Transcoding to MP3 using LAME may work, but I would have to figure out
how to install LAME on the ReadyNAS. )
