Thank you, for the detailed info! I will try! ... deleting the .db files solved the problem! But now, only 17771 files are found by the scanner, instead of 26442 in the versions prior.
The cause: all filenames containing german special characters like ä,ö,ü,ß etc. are ignored by the scanner. I think this is a known bug! I have ActivePerl installed and so there will be no problem to change the code to go back to MySQL, when 7.4 is ready for release. Thanks für the info!
