I've been experiencing problems with SC 7.3.3 for some time, music
stopping playing for no reason at all, songs being cut off at the end,
SC showing one song in a playlist playing when what was actually playing
was the following song. But I was never sure whether this was SC or my
wireless network. Now that I'm seeing a stable wireless setup with
r6038, I've looked more closely at SC.

I'm running Windows XP, SP3, IE8, and what I see is that when SC starts
up it starts an instance of iexplorer.exe. In task Manager this starts
with about 47MB of memory, but over time the memory used keeps climbing.
This morning, after a reboot of my system it continued climbing until it
had reached 90MB. At that point I shut off both my duet (which had been
playing), and also my boom (just in case). iexplorer.exe continued to
grow in memory size. As all this is going on, it also is showing
iexplorer.exe usage varying between 11% and 25% of my machine. To
calibrate this, Squeez~1.exe in task manager normally runs with regular
blips of 2% cpu usage.

After the memory usage had climbed over 90M this morning, I shut down
SC (with the red X in the ie window), and iexplorer.exe instantly
disappeared from the task manager list. I can't be certain because I
wasn't specifically looking at this at the time, but when SC and my duet
where behaving particularly weirdly a while ago (pre r6038), I think I
saw an iexplorer.exe instance in task manager that had consumed 114MB at
that point. I had learned at that time that completely stopping and
restarting SC would get things back to normal, but I hadn't investigated
what was going on.

It seems highly unlikely to me that this memory growth is normal. Is
this expected operation for SC, or is this a problem?

FWIW, I checked the server.log, and there is absolutely nothing in it
after the start of SC this morning. Here's the details on my setup. Both
the duet and the boom are wireless, with the duet sitting behind a range
extender.
