How would changing the name make it more reliable? We basically have 3 versions at any time - production (7.3.3), patch (7.3.4) and dev (7.4). If you're looking for any kind of stability I'd recommend prod or patch. I kind of agree that right now 7.4 is too unstable to be called beta (by my definition) but it's pretty well understood that the dev version may or may not work at any moment, if you don't like that don't use it.
If you're having problems with 7.3.3 have you tried the formal support channels?
