Well, it might not change anything... However, we that have been using squeezebox products for 2+ years have enjoyed fairly stable "beta" versions until recently...
One of my friends got a Duet about 2-3 months ago. He's a completely new user without any prior experience. I never told him anything about what versions to download etc. A few weeks after he got the Duet he kept complaining about the unit not remembering its settings, etc. I gave him all advice I could, except of course, I did not excpect that he would load his brand new unit with BETA software. After a few weeks of head-scraping that tuned out to be the reason of his grief... Anyway, now I've got 7.4 back up and running.
