Sorry for the cross post as I have mentioned this issue in other
threads, but I have received no answers. I do not know if there is
already an open bug on this issue. But at one point I remember that this
issue was raised and a bug was opened and fixed. This happened on a
previous incarnation of MySQL on SC. MusicIP creates playlists with
tracks with extended characters with the last MySQL build of SC 7.4
26558 beta before it was moved to SQLite. I also understand that SC 7.4
is still beta, but if MusicIP worked on these current MySQL betas I'd
spend more time using them as I'd have no need to return to the official
SC releases to use MusicIP. The current SC 7.4 MySQL builds are stable
enough for me.

For what I can gather, the MusicIP engine is somewhere in limbo, but I
would like to know if the existing "beta" builds of MusicIP will
continue to be fully supported on future releases of Squeezebox Server.
Having this feature has allow me to truly enjoy my Music library. I
believe I would not be using my Squeezebox quite as much if it wasn't
for MusicIP and its cousin SugarCube.
