Based on what I said in the OP I was hopping to hear something from the SD developers regarding the future of MusicIP. I understand that it might not be a priority, but I think it has become essential for many people and having a way to generate "intelligent" mixes would be a good selling point for SD/Logitech. (Understood that there "might" be some copyright issues involved were "Logitech" to advertise using the word MusicIP as a core feature of the player) Siduhe;450413 Wrote: > Back on topic, I use MIP a lot on 7.4, and have lots of latin music. > However, whilst I've always set my tags to show accented characters, my > file names don't have them. I thought of using the solution you suggest a while back, but I do not use my main FLAC music library "exclusively" with the Squeezebox server. I've been transcoding my FLAC library to other formats for use on other players some of which depend on my existing path/filename structure to get info about the currently playing track. Changing my current tagging scheme which correlates the tags Artist/Album/Filename to the corresponding transcoded path and file structuore for the target players would be too disruptive. -- tamanaco ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tamanaco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4620 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=66602 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
