I've been reading lately about a lot of issues that people are having with the 7.4 line of software and have noticed the term "beta trialing" is used in the same sentence as "7.4".
Reading this sticky here, it seems that 7.4 is NOT beta, but 7.3.4 is the beta line. 7.4 is the unstable nightly build line. Could this be a source of people becoming upset? 7.4 is in fact the nightly build, which in my mind is alpha. We are not talking about a beta build that is less stable than it should be; we are talking about an alpha build that people are under the misguided impression is beta. To help make the distinction obvious, perhaps there should be a separate forum for alpha (nightly build) testers.
