Could not the install package of squeezeboxserver always contain the proper fw for all devices, this will solve this for installs w/o internet. Now I see that fw get downloaded to my local squeezeboxserver when it's time for an upgrade, but could not some version be there in the first place ? Ie if i download SC7.x today it will contain what's considered an ok version of fw, in the nightly 7.4 this will be the latest all the time. This would at least solve the problem when someone gets an 2 year old duet from somewhere. Well i f you want SN you obviously have internet, so that would not pose a big problem, but as said elsewhere al people don't have their connection to inet up all the time. -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- No it can NOT be controlled with iTunes.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=66898 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
