Thanks Sebp, that was rather better than my "Derr, it doesn't work".
For clarity, yes I experienced the problems after the ReadyNAS rebooted - I have mine shut down at night and start up in the morning. I've re-installed the ReadyNAS 4.1.6 firmware, so everything seems to work fine. I'll install a new SBS build when the bug is fixed. I know I could ssh in and fix using the method already stated, but my Linux knowledge is zip, so I'll leave it to the pros.
