I saw a checkin comment that a fix had been made to read all mp3 tag data. I'm curious - what was the issue and what has the change done?
It sounds a bit dodgy to me. If previous SbS releases have done this, and this is just restoring that functionality, then so be it. But if this is a new thing, it could be really confusing to people, causing messed up music libraries. As I understand it, if an id3 v2.3 tag is missing (eg. no ALBUM tag), then it will now look at other tags, eg. id3 v1 tag and use that value. This could be bad - many people edit id3 v2.3 tags, eg. may purposely remove album name, but not even appreciate that they have id3 v1 tags present, and will wonder why their tag editor is showing <blank> but SbS is showing old data. I think it is best to pick one tag block and ignore the others. Also, what will it report as the ID3 Tag Version in Song Info if the tags came from multiple tag versions? _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
