Nope, that did not work either. Before deleting (or cutting) MP3TAG reports "FLAC (FLAC ID3v2)" and after it reports "(ID3v2)" and no tags are visible. After an undo (or paste) it is all back to how it was from the beginning. I have set MP3TAG to delete all tags för mpeg, including ID3v2. - I do not know how to use Foobar 2000 for this. Foobar only reports the Vorbis comments and I do not know how to delete the ID3v2 part in Foobar. Anyway, this was a useful thread. Andyg, may I ask what SBS will store for album artist if there are conflicting TPE2 and TXXX ALBUMARTIST tags in a mp3 file and the option to treat TPE2 as album artist is selected. I ask because I found out that J.
