Why? All tags are treated equally. You only need to store tags in your files for the tags you want to use. If you have a tag and don't want it any more, it deletes it. eg. you didn't want to need to set a Compilation tag, so you haven't got compilation tags in your files, rather than Compilation=<blank> or Compilation=0. Album name is no different - if you rip a single song, and don't give an album name, the TALB tag won't be present.
