Maybe a little bit off topic.
You could make a flac file with Id3v2 tags in it with EAC.
Compression options>External Compression>Check Add ID3 tag.
Also check all features under ID3 Tag.
MP3tag indicates: FLAC (FLAC ID3v2)
You could read the ID3 tag within flac with a good editor like Notepad
++
(http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/nl/site.htm)

NB *Only for testing.* 
As said before you must *not make flac-files with ID3 tags.*
