i understand, and when i rip a song to wav, it probably takes around 30 seconds or so per song.
however, only when the wav is complete does the encoding start, and that can take a min or two, and it creates 2 temp files and deletes the orig wav. moreover, rips to wav of a whole album typically outpace the encoding speed, so they wait a bit. again, if none of this is problematic for SBS then kool and the gang. but i just wanted to note it, b/c it struck me as something that might be an issue. -- MrSinatra www.lion-radio.org using: sb2 & sbc (my home) / sbr (parent's home) - sbs 7.4.2b - win xp pro sp3 ie8 - p4(ht) 3.2ghz / 2gig ram - 1tb wd usb2 raid1 - d-link dir-655 - 35k mp3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrSinatra's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71289 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
