Can somebody explain what's going on here?

I received my SB controller on Saturday, everything works except this
My Apps problem. So I called tech support today, the guy didn't seem to
have much of a clue. But took my MAC address and some other details and
said he'd email. I haven't received an email but it did start working
later that day. But by evening I'm back to My Apps not working again
with the same message "The player is already registered to another
user......"

Does somebody in Tech Support have to reset something every time this
happens?
