My news station hadn't started/wasn't on when I came downstairs this morning
again.

So I checked the settings, and I can see that my actual alarm clock music
source (LBC Radio, stored as a favorite) had beeb changed to "Use current
playlist". So I think this explains it - the first day, I could perhaps have
had a single song in my current playlist, so by the time I came down, it had
played and then stopped, hence my thinking that the alarm didn't play at all.
The next couple of days, because the current playlist was empty, the alarm
played the fallback beeps instead.

Speculation, but feasible.

The issue therefore is why it had lost my "alarm sound" property. I never
changed this; I never use "use current playlist". This is the default value
for new alarms, but I'm wondering if thereis some fallback situation in the
code whereby if the configured alarm source cannot be found, it changes it to
"Use current playlist"? Because I have been playing around with using a
DynamicPlaylist to play SugarCube as an alarm sound; one edit I did to the
plugin code cause the plugin to load, so the alarm source wouldn't have been
available.

I tried creating some new alarms, and removing them, and the ordering of the
alarms on the WebUI settings page is a bit strange. I thought this always
ordered by time, but it hasn't done that in my testing today - I have an alarm
configured for 7am, another alarm for 1am and then another for 8am. Perhaps
when I was creating/changing/deleting other test alarms, something affected my
normal alarm?

Anyway, I'll see if I can repeat a situation that loses my configured alarm
source.
