i disabled the automatic rescan and the NAS refresh options (set to 1000 mins) in the performance section, and all is well now. The scan was very fast.
Two things though. I have both squeezebox 3s (classics) and a squeezebox radio. The SB 3s didn't ask for a firmware update, but the SB radio did. The second thing which is more irritating, is that the SB radio rebuffers twice when starting a new album. Appears to be related to (I guess) the cpu usage in serving the album cover pic to the SB radio. I know the readyNas Duo is a little underpowered, but do you think this will be improved, or I will have to live with it?
