I enabled the same logging. Similar setup here, with the music folder
containing a shortcut to another folder. Here's the end of the log. I
don't see the looping, just some kind of checking at 10 minute
intervals.

So how exactly is this supposed to work? I have automatic detection
disabled. What is the 'stat checking' happening every ten minutes?
Is Windows one of the "some operating systems with no native change
support"?
