Let's discuss this offline, but I've talked about this with Alan and the original direction would have been a serious issue for me especially for iPad. Alan's aware of it now so he's probably considering it so it may not be an issue. I agree the problem is that some of the things I do, especially around context menus are kind of hacky but that's mainly in absence of a"clean" solution to do the same. At the core of it is the fact that I don't use menu mode queries for the local library (which helps since that way this is not affected by the change) but there ARE cases where one of these queries originated from a Squeezeplay menu, especially context menus. This means I can't live with a content agnostic interface. I need model information and can't live with a pure presentation layer kind of data. We had a similar issue in the past with TrackInfo and I believe Andy fixed it back then or the switch to context menus/songinfo did. -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote, at penguinlovesmusic.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80107 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
