There are two things: FIRMWARE (this is in the player) and software version for SqueezeboxServer (SbS). I can't recall if you are even using SbS on your own computer. If you are, then open the web interface to SbS, select settings (lower right hand side of screen), then in settings choose the INFORMATION tab. It will tell you something like: Version: 7.5.2 - r30934 @ Thu Jun 24 02:08:18 PDT 2010 (I'm running 7.5.2, a beta version of the stable 7.5.1, but containing some minor bug fixes). For firmware, in SETTINGS, go to PlAYER tab, then at the very bottom, you should see your firmware version. If you are instead using mysqueezebox.com, it will automatically be using the latest stable software for its "SbS". This is 7.5.1. Login to mysqueezebox.com on the web, look at the player tab, and it will tell you what firmware the player has. If you have a BOOM, the latest firmware is 50. If mysqueezebox.com moves to a new version, any attached player will get a notice to upgrade firmware (if there is a new firmware..not all new SbS versions have associated firmware changes). -- garym ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81192 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
